Raw in, edit out: auto-edit video with Hyperframes and Claude Code

Feed raw footage to an AI agent and get a polished edit back. Setup steps, the exact commands, and a free prompt pack.

What this does

Hyperframes is an open tool from HeyGen that turns Claude Code into a video editor. You feed it a raw video file, it transcribes every word with Whisper, cuts every mistake and retake automatically, then adds captions and animations. You refine the edit by typing plain English commands. Raw footage goes in, a polished edit comes out.

Setup in three steps

First, install Hyperframes from github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes and connect it to your Claude Code setup. Second, drop your raw footage into the project folder. Third, let the agent transcribe and assemble the first cut before you touch anything.

  • Install Hyperframes from the GitHub repo
  • Point Claude Code at your raw video file
  • Let Whisper transcribe, then review the auto cut

Commands that work

Talk to the editor like an assistant. These commands from the demo all work:

  • Captions on every word
  • Cut it to 30 seconds
  • Zoom in on the logo
  • Make the titles bigger

Your next step

Download the free prompt pack below. It has every command from this guide plus ten more, formatted to paste straight into Claude Code: jamaaltreasures.com/assets/downloads/hyperframes-prompt-pack.md. Try it on your next raw video and compare the time against editing by hand.
